Two kinds of people use Sellgraam: sellers who run a store, and shoppers who buy from one. We hold the least we can for each, we do not sell any of it, and we never touch a seller’s Instagram account.
Creating a store means giving us an email address and a password. We also keep what you type into your store settings — store name, bio, WhatsApp number, country, currency, the payment methods you accept, an optional pickup address, and optional bank details for customers paying by transfer.
Your product photos are uploaded to our storage and are publicly readable, because your storefront is a public page. Product titles and descriptions are drafted by sending your photos to OpenAI. Prices are always yours — nothing suggests one unless a price is legible in the photo itself.
Your bank details are the one field held back from public view. They are readable only by you and are shown to a customer only on the confirmation page for an order they have just placed with you.
Placing an order stores your name, phone number, delivery address, city, country, any note you leave, and what you ordered. That information exists so the seller can deliver to you. It is visible to that seller and to nobody else — not to other sellers, and not to anyone browsing the storefront.
You do not need an account to order, and we do not create one for you.
We never connect to Instagram. No password, no permissions screen, no app in your settings. A handle is text you type, and its only job is to be the address of your store.
Data is held in Supabase (Postgres and file storage). The site runs on Vercel. Product drafting uses OpenAI. Order emails are sent through Resend. Browser notifications go directly to your browser’s push service. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people reach. That is the full list, and we do not sell data to anyone.
Google Analytics is the one piece of this that is not ours. It records the pages you open, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used, and Google may connect that to activity on other sites you visit. It is never given your name, your phone number, your address or anything you typed into an order.
Google Analytics sets a cookie on every page, storefronts included, so a repeat visit is not counted twice. Signing in as a seller sets a session cookie so you stay signed in. A cart is kept in your own browser’s storage and never leaves it until you place an order.
There are no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels from anyone else.
Sellers can ask us to delete their store, and everything belonging to it goes with it: products, photos, orders, and the account itself. Shoppers who want an order removed should ask the seller they bought from, since it is their record of the sale.
